Swargadwari

This place is said to have been formed and established as a pilgrimage site by Guru Maharaj Narayan Khatri (Swami Hamsananda). He is also known as Swagadwari Mahaprabhu locally. This place was discovered by him as the place from where Pandavas went to heaven in Dwapar Yuga or the time of “Mahabharat”.  It is said that he acquired enlightenment here and could do several miraculous things like curing the sick in a touch. Also, Guru was very close to the cows of the place and he had a self-aware death. It is also said that he started a fire that is still burning and that never ends. Swargadwari is simply one of the holiest places for Hindus all over the world.

Not only as a holy place, this place is filled with untouched nature as well. The temple premises is surrounded with various species of rhododendron forests which bloom and make the whole environment shiny. Also, you can see the Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Gaurishankar and more mountains from here. The views of hills on all directions is extremely mesmerizing.

This place has lots of other specialties as well like the Dharamshala where you can stay inside the premises in the lifestyle of the people working there. Every evening, there is a mind refreshing “Aarati” and every morning a refreshing chanting. Also, lots of cows all over the place make the environment different. There is also a school where students study “Vedas”. This is one of the places in the western Nepal which is a must to visit. Do not forget to make plans about this place if you really want to discover Nepal in a different way.
